Poor Ashley the Alligator. She has stayed on the far side of the pond, away from anyone, because some have said mean things to her. Til the day comes when she see her friend, Jake the Snake, sunning on a rock at the other edge of the pond. He is so happy to see his friend again and invites her to come and meet his other friends and Mr. Bark Lee. Ashley agrees but Jake’s friends greet her with fear instead of friendship.
Mr. Bark Lee and Jake are disappointed in their friends’ reaction and remind them of what it says in Luke 6:31, also known as the Golden Rule. “As you would like people to do to you, do exactly so to them.”
The forest friends are sorry for their unkind words to Ashley and gather around her to truly welcome her to the little group.
